First Visits
The AAPD guidelines suggest that the first dental visit be within 6 months of your child's first erupted tooth OR by their 1st birthday. At this age we are primarily assessing the oro-facial structures, gingival health, and the first teeth. We also want to counsel the parent/caregiver on proper oral health and dietary instructions which can begin proper habits that will last a lifetime.
